We expect both shows to have great turn outs so if you can buy tickets early for the 21+ full band performance do so. It was time for a change, and the new vision for the website begins now. Hang tight while bugs get worked out and new features get implemented. Here are some of the features that are on their way to the website:
  • A video portal, searchable by people, bands, and dates.
  • A webcam portal
  • An artist directory
  • A performer booking center, where promoters can list the dates of shows that they need performers for and bands can list the dates that they would like to be booked on.
  • A business review page.
  • An interactive map of Muncie where the general public contributes locations of interest, links to websites for businesses, and comments about them.
  • A mailing list with weekly news
  • MySpace and Facebook groups because kids just can't get enough of that crap
  • RSS feeds of events and news

Right now, everyone can post events, articles, and flyers, but we're developing more ways for everyone to contribute to the project and requesting volunteers to help in the following areas:
  • Design work
  • Application development (PHP/MySQL)
  • Ad sales
  • Promotion / Marketing
  • Content moderation
  • Dedicated event-hunting and article-writing

US News & World Report is hosting a video contest called "Why My School Rocks". Watch Why Ball State Rocks! on YouTube to help BSU's entry make it into the finalists. From the video's description: "Ball State rock's(sic) because they offer immersive Learning(sic) projects to students in every major on their campus, like MY NAME IS JERRY! A feature independent film that was shot and produced at Ball State as a student immersive learning project. This project took professionals from LA, Chicago, and NY and paired them with students to give them professional film experience and industry experience. And THATS(sic) WHY MY SCHOOL ROCKS!"
